I am not a bass player. However, Cliff's sound wasn't just flange. He used distortion as well. If I had to guess, it was probably an overdrive. With that said, this is a very aggressive flange. The other part of the equation is Cliff's pickups and whether his bass was active or not. As I recall, I believe he used a humbucker, I could be wrong. I did see an unofficial Cliff Burton signature model by Aria on ebay and reverb. Both of these basses were active. see less

Of course it will. It may or may not be to your expectations but it will certainly work.

I just bought it through Amazon, the first thing to note is that the graphics in the listing may be different from the graphics on the pedal you received. This turned out to be good because the karate motion graphics have been illustrated, but I got the jet airplane graphics I prefer. Okay, because the first thing I have to do is sand the entire case and change the knob, it's very easy (sharpening up to 45 minutes). Appearances are not all, but they are something. From reviews (from Amazon and elsewhere), I was expecting a nice, tough edge, and that's the truth. I have the Ibanez FL9 in the early '80s, which has a rich sense of phase and lush chorus, but it doesn't have the eddy whirl or metal trim I've been looking for (due to a lack of better language). Joyo has it all: shaky eddies, eddy jingles, and robot voices (i.e. short delays). After playing for a few days, you got the impression that you had everything you were looking for in chrome (see note in next section). If I was a dumb guitarist I would consider buying a better flanger for $ 80-100, but based on my experience with the flanger (I have In Line Effects Flanger, Boss BF2, and Ibanez FL9, This is now), this is the best price for Chrome. That said, don't expect to get a better edge machine for just $ 20. But ... it depends on what you're looking for in the trimmer. Usually I use it at lower settings to make the sound thicker and occasionally I introduce a few short delays, while turning the Regen knob a bit to get some King's X sounds. The stereo option is great, but the second amp is too can reproduce. If you are looking for something like this, spending more money on a stereo flanger is not a bad idea. If not, I honestly recommend this one.

So, I read a lot of reviews here, and was a little bit dissatisfied with purchasing this product, but the price is right, so I think I'll give it a try. I'm glad I did, it exceeded my expectations! My latest flanged pedal (I think) can make a lot of different sounds, but this classic Joyo flanged speaker far exceeds it! You can get classic flange sounds, and if you adjust the rotation point to the correct settings, you can get some great ringtone modulation sounds and even simulate guitar feedback sounds. This is as good as other more expensive pedals!

Update I wrote that it was broken, but the chain connection was not good. This is a great pedal. This pedal sounds beautiful. I use it for bass and it sounds great when paired with my chorus. Why spend more money on something similar? It is also built like a tank. So strong that it surprised me.

First, I said I don't need this pedal. Think about it, I'm not sure where I would use too many songs. But the trimmer generally sells for over $ 100, and I can't resist. It looks good and has a lot of tone adjustments. Actually, you can check many variations to give it more atmospheric effects, instead of heavy lashes. I can't really compare it to other edge machines, but it sounds good, works fine (seems to be the case anyway), and is ridiculously cheap. My only complaint is that it is a little noisy, but no better than many of the other more expensive pedals I have.

This is the case of the 8 Joyos that I have bought so far, this Classic Flanger is a luxury / boutique pedal. For those of you wondering, this is not a flange that can use EVH Unchained type flanges; this is too subtle (this will lead me to my only very minor criticism). Instead, it's a fantastic performance effect, not just turning it on or off temporarily. I like that it is a thick organic choir that works well through clean channels, and works just as well through full gain. One of my complaints or hopes is that it has a mixing knob. Although you can increase the price, there is nothing cheap here. There was a time when such a pedal could cost hundreds of dollars.
